Epson has high hopes for its new WorkForce range of inkjet printers.
Epson is pitching fast business printing that is both cost and energy efficient with its high-performance WorkForce Pro WP-4090 and WP-4590 inkjet printers.
The new printers both support Printer Control Language (PCL) and Postscript, which, Epson says, allows for increased productivity and reduced costs in smaller offices. These interfaces let the printers connect to a range of applications and devices.
Both also claim to deliver fast double-sided printing, while consuming 70 per cent less power than competing laser devices.
Mike Pleasants, director of marketing communications at Epson, said: "The future of business printing is fast, cost and energy efficient inkjet printers equipped with productivity enhancing features and flexible remote and wireless printing choices."
He added that both devices offer easy plug and play installation, allowing them to be quickly added to existing workgroups.
According to Epson, the device can offer 50 per cent lower cost per page than comparable colour laser printers. With remanufactured Epson ink cartridges, these costs could be reduced even further.
